Dr. Seldomridge was raised in Lancaster County and is a graduate of Manheim Township High School. His 10 year association with the Naval Reserves and participation with several volunteer teams to Mexico have enhanced his professional skills. His particular areas of interest are implant and jaw and facial reconstructive surgery. He enjoys life long learning and teaching as evidenced by the amount of hours of continuing education in which he participates.
Dr. Seldomridge is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (Board Certified, 1990) and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) for which he serves as an Alternate Delegate from Pennsylvania to the national AAOMS House of Delegates. He is an officer of the Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He served 6 years as president of the Central Pennsylvania Society of OMS and is past chairman of the Department of Dentistry, Chief, Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and member of the Medical Staff Executive Committee of Lancaster General Hospital.
As a youth growing up in Lancaster County and ninth generation of his family to live here, Gary was very involved in school, church and community activities including being a three sport athlete, Eagle Scout and coach of a large age group summer swim team. He enjoys following up on many of these past connections with his patients today.
Dr. Seldomridge is married to Christina (Newkirk) of Evergreen, Colorado and has two wonderful sons, Tyler and Benjamin. He enjoys watching them play soccer and lacrosse and participating with them in travel, skiing, hiking and tennis!
Dr. Seldomridge is very active with the Pennsylvania Dutch Council of the Boys Scouts of America, serving 6 years as a scoutmaster of Troop 102, member of the Council High Adventure Committee and a co-contingent leader for two council excursions to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and a sailing adventure at the BSA Sea Base in the Florida Keys. He serves on several committees of the historic Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in downtown Lancaster and volunteers as a surgeon with the Lehigh Valley Easter Seals Cleft Palate Team. Washington & Lee University has always been an important part of Dr. Seldomridge’s life, as he is a Class Agent with their development office and also serves as an Alumni Admissions Representative.
